Firefox 2.0 & Ubuntu
It’s been three weeks since Mozilla released Firefox® 2. Of course, it’s still not available in official Ubuntu & Debian. Fortunately precompiled packages they can be found in the “feisty” distribution (the forthcoming 7.04 release of Ubuntu – more info here). So I’ve just added the following apt source to my /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://ubuntu.linux-bg.org/ubuntu/ feisty main restricted universe multiverse
Yeah, feel free to replace it with your mirror of choice. There’s a lot of new stuff there (in a matter of fact, I had to download ~500Mb for a dist-upgrade from “dapper”).
Ok. I guess you didn’t like the previous solution. Here you can find a quick HOW-TO by a (suprisingly young) guy from India. Thank him ! ![]()
